The 10th annual Audrain Auto Museum Driving Miss Daffodil parade made its journey on Sunday, April 21, 2024. The 10 mile route took approximately 45 minutes. The final destination was Audrain Cars & Coffee at Sachuest Beach. The entrance fee for each parade participant was $50. with bragging rights to the “best dressed” car winner. This year’s Audrain Driving Miss Daffodil cars did not disappoint, with their floral and whimsical displays.
Audrain Auto Museum Cars & Coffee
The Social Diary has been attending Audrain Auto Museums Cars & Coffee since 2022. It’s one of the highlights of our season that begins in April and ends in November. The event has grown over the years with more car participants and more attendees. The venues change, so check for updates on the museum’s website.
Car participants can also sign up for free. So, if you have a classic or a “work in progress,” you just may win a judge’s prize! However, make sure you are on their email list to participate. In addition, members of the museum or Audrain Motorsport partake in complimentary coffee at these fun community events. Sunday was the perfect weather for it too. The wind was “bone chilling” fierce by the beach. As the days warm up, pack a picnic and enjoy the view.
In addition to the beach scene, Cars & Coffee will also be present at two Newport mansions for the 2024 season. What a great opportunity to see classic automobiles and take in a mansion tour! Check the Newport Mansions to see which mansions will be available to view, when the cars roll in.
Driving Miss Daffodil
Newport Rhode Island officially kicked off Daffodil Days on April 6th. The Social Diary has been covering some of these events since we are all about the “social scene.” This was just a peek into our social diary for the month of April. Audrain Driving Miss Daffodil and Cars & Coffee was a perfect kick off to our season in Newport.
