Social Engagements that Never Happened
Welcome to The Social Diary’s Community Past board, where you can find previous year’s fun, local events, and events that never happened. Animal welfare is close to our hearts.

The scorching hot weather in June needed the cooling showers. But it also triggered “weather” permitting cancellations. A feature for another date. Nevertheless, The Social Diary took a tour of Rough Point. We will return later this year to take a “peek” inside Doris Duke’s closet! The Canine Courture was to return in the Autumn, with seasonal fashion change from summer to fall. But cancelled before it started!

April showers bring May flowers, but also cancelled out events. Last year, The Social Diary attended the Daffodil Society Preview Party. It was a delightful social evening.

Community Past Board: Conservation and Animals

The day after her book signing, Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York visited The Great Elephant Migration. Moreover, the duchess was the inspiration behind the “red” elephant located at Salve Regina. Duchess Fergie Photo Credit: Jack Casey / What’sUpNewp

Additionally, these whimsical animal avatars have transplanted themselves at Blithewold Mansion in Bristol, Rhode Island.

Each year, The Social Diary celebrates Daffodil Days with beautifully attired daffy dogs in April.
